1. What Information Do We Collect?

Personal information you disclose to us

We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise contact us. The personal information we collect may include:

Sensitive Information

When necessary, with your consent or as otherwise permitted by applicable law, we process the following categories of sensitive information:

Application Data

If you use our application, we may collect the following information if you choose to provide us with access or permission:

Information Automatically Collected

We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services — such as your IP address, device characteristics, operating system, and information about how and when you use the Services. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services and for internal analytics.

Derived Classifications

We compute certain derived classifications about users to support core app functionality — including local-resident status relative to skate spots (used for vote weighting) and OG status at specific spots (assigned based on user activity at that spot). These classifications are used solely to operate the service and are not shared with third parties or used for advertising. Users can view their own status (e.g., OG badges) within the app.

2. How Do We Process Your Information?

We process your personal information for the following reasons:

3. When and With Whom Do We Share Your Personal Information?

We may share your data with third-party vendors and service providers who perform services for us and require access to your information to do that work. We have agreements in place with our third parties that are designed to safeguard your personal information.

We may also share your information in connection with a business transfer (merger, sale, or acquisition) or as required by law. When you post content or interact with public areas of the Services, that content may be viewed by other users.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with advertising partners or data brokers.

4. How Long Do We Keep Your Information?

We keep your personal information for as long as you have an active account with us. When you delete your account through Settings → Delete Account, most personal information is immediately and permanently deleted, including your account credentials, posts, votes, comments, messages, and profile data.

Certain records may be anonymized rather than deleted — for example, moderation reports retain their content but with your identifying information removed — to preserve operational integrity. Server logs are retained for up to 12 months for security and debugging purposes, then deleted.

5. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe?

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest, database-level row-level security policies, secure password hashing via Supabase Auth, regular automated backups, and restricted administrative access.

However, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk.

6. What Are Your Privacy Rights?

You may review, change, or terminate your account at any time. To update your account information, log in to your account settings. To terminate your account and delete your data, use Settings → Delete Account within the app.

If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, email us at support@blowuplocal.app.

7. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature. Because there is currently no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals, we do not currently respond to them. If a standard is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

8. Do United States Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?

If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, or limit use of your data.
